Whether you are just starting your maritime career or are already an experienced hand: HTS Aqua offers you a maritime job to fit your requirements. Below, you will find all the positions for which we regularly have vacancies. Is your dream job listed?
Are you at least sixteen years old, interested in sailing aboard inland barges but are you not yet properly qualified? Then you start out with us as a deckhand. You perform the same duties as an ordinary sailor and we expect you to complete an (internal) training as soon as possible. If both you and we see a future for you in our fleet, we will gladly assist you in this.
As an ordinary sailor on our fleet, you have completed your initial training and you have your own service record book which lists your registered sailing times. Your activities on board consist of mooring and unmooring and assisting in loading and unloading. But you are also involved in maintenance work, etc. In everything you do, safety always comes first.
An able sailor on our fleet is fully qualified and in possession of a service record book. Your activities on board consist of independently mooring and unmooring the vessel and assisting in loading and unloading. But you are also involved in maintenance work, etc. In everything you do, safety always comes first. If you are on top of all your tasks, you can also steer and, when possible, manoeuvre the ship under the guidance of the captain.
As the captain's chief assistant, you are co-responsible for a smooth and safe trip. In addition, you assist the captain in the repair policy, the administration and the staffing policy. You also have all the knowledge and skills that we expect from an able sailor. This makes you a true all-rounder. As a helmsman, you are in possession of a service record book with the appropriate qualifications and sufficient sailing time. Furthermore, you are in possession of a radar patent (radar navigation certificate), commercial vessels master’s certificate, Rhine patent (Rhine navigation certificate), ADN certificate and VHF certificate. Safety always comes first in everything you do.
As an engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that all engines, electrical installations and tools on board our ships work properly at all times. To verify this, you regularly board our vessels. Where necessary, you take immediate action in consultation with the captain. In everything you do, safety always comes first.
As skipper/captain, you bear ultimate responsibility for the optimal operation of your ship. As part of that, you ensure that all tasks and activities are carried out correctly on your behalf. For this, you are also familiar with the duties and activities of the helmsman and sailor. As a skipper/captain, you are properly certified and you are in possession of a radar patent (radar navigation certificate), commercial vessels master’s certificate, Rhine patent (Rhine navigation certificate), ADN certificate and VHF certificate. Safety always comes first in everything you do.
